As we pass the half way point of LGBT+ History Month (in the UK), there is lots going on here at Proud Studios…
First up, www we’re delighted to hear that Beyond The Binary – a celebration of trans joy has been extended for the whole of LGBT+ History Month.
With the US currently rolling back all trans rights and systematically erasing trans lives from the public record, including important public monuments like The Stonewall Inn memorial (link), it is even more vital that we stand with our trans siblings and shout about trans joy from the rooftops. As history has repeatedly shown us, when the bigots come for one of us, they inevitably come for all of us.

Back in 2022 I was lucky enough to work with an amazing queer-owned gallery in Paris to produce a set of portraits of the Parisian LGBTQIA+ community which was subsequently exhibited at Espace Canopy for Marche des Fiertés in June 2022. I was truly blown away by the generosity and openness of everyone who sat for me and the way they selflessly shared their stories and am delighted that the collaborative work is now on display in the UK for the first time.

Speaking of Hove Hands, I was very excited this month to launch a new LGBTQIA+ massage and wellness studio right here in Brighton & Hove.
