Cee (they/them)

“The first time I sat in a barber’s chair was in 2020, in the summer when the lockdown was briefly lifted. I remember feeling so nervous, thinking that as a newly out gay masc presenting person, I would be chased out of the barbershop. My fears were unfounded and going to the barber remains a joyous experience for me.

The waistcoat is my Dad’s wedding waistcoat. He died in 2001 and was buried in his wedding suit. Last year, my mum found the waistcoat in her closet. I was over the moon.

In December 2024, I finally said yes to testosterone injections. It’s been a long and winding road. Eight months in, the waist coat just fits… The only constant in life is change. Embrace it all.”

Cee (they/them)

Cee is a non-binary transmasculine production manager based in Hove. A self-described late bloomer, they came into their gender expression later in life and now embrace it fully, refusing to be boxed in.

Cee is passionate about connection, learning, and living authentically. They love powerlifting, good coffee, food, art, music, books, and long walks on the seafront.
Coming out in 2020, just as lockdown began, marked a turning point. Small moments – like their first fade at the barber, using their chosen name, or hearing the shift in their voice after starting testosterone – have helped them feel truly seen.

Style plays a role in how Cee expresses identity. Their look has evolved from sharp suits and ties, especially their late father’s, to a more relaxed form of smart. Wearing his ties connects them to his memory and influence, which remains strong.

For younger queer people, Cee offers a simple message:
Give yourself permission to feel it all. You are wanted. You are loved. We need you – exactly as you are.
