Cassie is a physicist who has worked in the US, New Zealand and now UK. She never thought she would be able to transition when she was younger because of the extreme transphobia back then. Even with the current backlash, she still considers it much better now than it was back then.

Trans Joy is … feeling happy that I can be me. I’m very proud of who I am and am amazed every day when I think of how far I’ve come to get to this point.

This fresh initiative from the award-winning queer photographer Chris Jepson seeks to empower and celebrate the trans+ community by showcasing authentic joy through a captivating series of individual and group portraits.
