Miss Disney (she/her)

“As a plus size nudist and a SA survivor, choosing to be naked is not just an act of liberation—it’s a reclamation. For so long, my body was something others tried to define for me, whether through abuse, judgment or shame. But nudity, for me, is not about being seen through someone else’s lens—it’s about seeing myself clearly, fully, and without apology. It’s a way to reclaim agency over a body that has survived, endured, and still chooses joy.

“I refuse to let a culture that oversexualizes nudity—and simultaneously shames bodies like mine—dictate how I inhabit my skin. Being naked is my way of saying: I am whole, I am powerful, and I am not here to be consumed. I’m here to exist, to breathe freely, and to honour the beauty of a body that is mine, only mine.

“The fabrics represent the lesbian flag of course! As a femme lesbian, there have been times where I’ve had to prove my “queerness”. I’m proud to be part of a legacy of femmes who have always existed, who have loved boldly, and who remind the world that there is no one right way to be queer.”

Miss Disney (she/her)

Maria, also known on stage as Miss Disney, is a plus-size femme lesbian bringing joy, sparkle and safe queer travel to the world.

By day, she’s your go-to expert for luxury LGBTQIA+ adventures – creating inclusive, body-positive travel experiences that make every traveller feel welcome and celebrated.

By night, she transforms into Miss Disney, lighting up the stage with playful, kitschy performances that celebrate camp, colour, and unapologetic queer joy. Her shows aren’t just entertainment – they’re acts of healing, connection and pride.

Maria’s journey hasn’t always been easy. She spent years feeling isolated and misunderstood, but today, she stands tall in gratitude – celebrating every part of her identity with love and honesty. For her, being queer is a gift. A reason to live loudly. A community to cherish.

A standout moment came in 2019, performing on tour with Manila Luzon. On a night in Bristol, Maria shared a powerful number about being unheard and finally embraced. The energy in that room changed her forever. It reminded her that performance can heal and that stories like hers matter.

Her personal style is bold, bright and made to be seen. She owns her space. She hikes, she swims, she explores – and she wants you to know you can too, no matter your size or where you’re starting from.

Maria has a clear message for younger queer kids:
You’re not alone. School isn’t everything. Your people are out there. And yes, it really does get better.

To her beloved trans and non-binary siblings:
You are loved. You are not a burden. You are supported by so many – always.

Maria is here to make you feel good in your skin – whether you’re catching a flight or catching her show.

Follow the sparkle. She’ll be waiting.
