Nick is an author, husband, activist, rower and life model. He is also a devoted nerd for books and video games, and makes no apology for it. The things that bring him joy shape how he moves through the world. His identity shows up in curiosity, geeky passions, and a quiet confidence rather than sharp style choices.
Being queer, for Nick, reaches far beyond his own life as a gay man. It means belonging to a broad community filled with different voices, histories and lives. He values learning from others and believes standing together matters more than ever.
To his younger self, and to queer kids growing up now, Nick offers honesty and hope: It is not always going to be easy or simple to be true to yourself and your queerness, but despite how scary it might seem there is a whole world out there in full technicolour and it is worth it. Come out only when you’re ready but know that we’re all here to support you when you do.
