About Misfits
Misfits is a fitness, wellbeing and self defence programme created by Not A Phase, powered by Nike. Focussing on confidence building whilst breaking down the barriers between the Trans+ community and traditional gym spaces.
Their team of instructors are handpicked based on their years of experience across all aspects of health and wellbeing, along with their awareness of the needs of Trans+ people.
The Misfits program is run in partnership with various different gym spaces across the UK, all with beautiful, modern gym spaces that operate with a zero-tolerance policy to prejudice. They welcome between 15-20 misfits per class.

In a world that often struggles to fully embrace diversity and inclusion, ‘Beyond the Binary – The Spectrum Of Trans Joy’ is a project dedicated to fostering social cohesion and visibility for the trans and intersex community. This fresh initiative from the award-winning queer photographer Chris Jepson seeks to empower and celebrate the trans+ community by showcasing authentic joy through a captivating series of individual and group portraits.
