About Trans Can Sport
Trans Can Sport is a not-for-profit, community interest company based in Brighton & Hove. Created in 2015 to support trans people to get into exercise and healthy living, their main aim is to help anyone who feels their transgender identity makes participating in sport difficult. This may include people who are trans, non-binary, QTIPOC, queer and/or intersex, questioning or exploring their gender or anyone who feels their gender expression has been a barrier to participating in sports and fitness. They also welcome their friends, families and allies.
In a world that often struggles to fully embrace diversity and inclusion, ‘Beyond the Binary – The Spectrum Of Trans Joy’ is a project dedicated to fostering social cohesion and visibility for the trans and intersex community. This fresh initiative from the award-winning queer photographer Chris Jepson seeks to empower and celebrate the trans+ community by showcasing authentic joy through a captivating series of individual and group portraits.
